As a kid, when someone asked you what you wanted to do when you grow up, you have a straight answer right away and you stick to your answer until you get to college, right? By age 10, I had already changed my answer three times. Once high school rolled around, I was set to do fashion design because I wanted to make my own brand of menswear. (Which I think I will still do one day!)

My sister sparked a light in me to pursue a degree in architecture, and the idea grew on me. I started at UNLV in 2008 in the Architecture program. Something didn’t feel right, and I thought it had to be the program. I got a surprise email from the program director of the Landscape Architecture program to join their program, and I didn’t look back.

I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, and around the same time, started a new position as a Newsletter Editor for the Nevada Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architecture. I would write a little blurb every month for their online newsletter and I started to enjoy writing.

Once I graduated, I went into the nonprofit realm for two years to help out the community of Las Vegas as much as my little hands could. I am a proud Americorps alumni and truly enjoyed my whole Americorps experience.

My friend introduced me to this thing called web presence marketing. To rank businesses on Google was so fascinating to me. I didn’t know the significance of why she was telling me about this until I applied for a content writer position for Post Launch. A job where I got to write blogs that people will actually read! AWESOME!

I have never felt so comfortable at a job. I look forward to coming in every day to have awesome conversations with my fellow coworkers. I am so grateful to not be the one nerd of the bunch because I am amongst fellow nerds who totally get my references.

When I am not writing, I am doing graphic design and crocheting my life away. I’m all about watching Archer on repeat and other series on Netflix. I also like the occasional trap music and the occasional walk in nature. I also love when my family visits or when I get to visit my best friends (AKA my nephews).

And finally, STAR WARS IS LIFE! (Sorry Trekkies.)
